I've been impressed with it just sitting in the taskbar and not really burning system resources or slowing my network connection. I think this service is great and fairly easy to use and the fact that it is free is absolutely awesome!
Even being a computer consultant, I never get around to backing up MY data! I use Mozy to make sure my files are regularly backed up, in case of a computer crash. It's preferable because otherwise, I forget.
